Hi, I have a niche website with many pages of content based on a wordpress blog. One of my posts/articles has been generating a reasonable amount of interest this month with between 90 and 217 page views per day, 7 and 21 clicks per day giving a 9% page CTR and £2.35 average Adsense Earnings per day. Then last week it nose dived, no idea why Google PR has actually improved but the clicks are down to two digits with clicks and earning non existent. Does anyone have any suggestions the post is fully sep...

You should know where the traffic was coming from, If it's SERP traffic, are you still ranked for the keyword? Are you still getting the same amount of traffic?

You haven't specified if the traffic remained the same, but I'm going to assume it has otherwise your question would not make much sense..

Now, my answer would be pretty simple. The advertiser(s) who mainly showed ads in your page might have stopped the campaigns or decided your site wasn't converting well for them. Other explanation may be a decrease in US traffic and increase of international traffic which would give you about the same level of traffic but different ads shown on the page.

Of course, without all the proper data it's impossible to formulate an opinion, but these two reasons above might be the culprit.

Do you have analytics? Always have analytics.

You could check the visitor flow and find out exactly where your visitors are coming from, where they are going, and where they fall off.

Now, the above poster is right, the advertisers might have just fallen off, or perhaps the new algorithm hit you?

It is all a matter of it your traffic has decreased or not.
