I want to link to some really long urls, like places on Google maps. Should I run it through a shortner like tinyurl ????

Is this cloaking?

Is Google OK with this?

    >> tinyurl.com url's uses 301 redirect which wont affect you negatively. You may also opt for Goo.gl which is product of google itself

  • Don't know about tinyurl, but with bit.ly you can get some basic stats as well.

Use Bit.ly I use it everyday. Google is fine with bitly and you will have no problem using it.
