website disappeared - two important questions

Hey,
My website disappeared from Google a few weeks ago.
(Seriously, I have no idea why, I have no spam links).
I decided to buy a new domain and start my way from the beginning, this time more carefully. (I wish I knew what was the mistake the previous site)
Anyway, I have two important questions:
  • There is a lot of content on the old site, is it okay to copy the contents to the new site? Or am I taking a risk that Google may see this content copied from punished site and because of that I will not have a chance to "win" with the new site?
So, copy the old site's content? or simply create entirely new content (which will require me a lot of work!).

  • The second question is, there are a lot of online articles that link to the old site. Is it OK to enter these articles, and to change the link to the new site url?
Or maybe I should simply delete a page and copy the article from the article to a new page?
Or just give up and create entirely new content to articles directory with entirely new links - which again require me a lot of work!:-(
Thanks!!!

Have you created a Google Webmaster account and added the domain to it? If not, I'd do that first. If there's an issue with your site you'll likely find out that way.

As for other questions, unfortunately without knowing what's going on with your site it's hard to answer definitively. I would definitely not copy content over to the new site unless the old site has been turned off. But even then, it could be that content causing you an issue.

And I wouldn't go back and change links. That's just not natural. I'd start over in terms of any type of link building, understanding that what you did previously could have caused your site a problem.

When it comes to content and from a website that is intentionally de-ranked by google.. Be careful! It might not be a good idea to transfer 100% of same content to your new domain.

Drip feed your old content with new one gradually.

    Hope it works for you.

LloydMS - Of course I have webmaster tools, didnt get any message from them:-(. Im checking every day.
    Its a few weeks already.
After I red the two replies I got think Im going to create 100% new content and 100% new links.
    A lot of duplicate work:-(
Again' I have no idea what's happened Im sure I didnt create spam links.
And also, Im using the same building backlink strategy for other websites and they are still on first page.

    Thanks for your replies!

Since your website disappeared from Google, copying that content is not a good idea. Also if you won't be using the old site, you can change the link from the online articles to the new site.

kaytav - Are u sure Its OK to just chage the link to the new website?
Im not going to use the old one.
Google is not going to remember that these pages with the links to the old websites are pages the links to a "punished website" and because of that will condider it as a bad links?
