Google Emails Re IMG/TXT Ads

I've had a few emails now from adsense telling me how a certain percentage of my ad units aren't displaying a mix of IMG/TXT and how I could be losing out on revenue because of this. I am aware that generally you should use a mix of IMG/TXT in your ad units however certain parts of my sites seem to 'suit' IMG only better, for example in the header against the background of the site or near featured post images so the ads don't look so much like ads and more like a featured image (not in a misleading, violative way though).

I just figured that IMG only in these certain areas would command a higher CTR but what google is saying is that if you have a mix of IMG/TXT then that can drive up your CPC as you have more bidders showing per unit. So I'm just wondering if a higher CTR with perhaps a lower CPC would be more desirable, or a lower CTR with a more healthy CPC?

Most of my ad units are IMG/TXT activated, I'm just not sure whether to follow google's advice and change the remaining IMG only units over or not...
