So, do you think, going for the Keyword "earn money online" or "make money online" ( which is extremly competitive ) is worth it?

    Hell f##king no.

I will sound like a royal ass, but I think people targeting keywords like that are missing braincells. You'd be better off developing a new soft drink and competing against coke and pepsi. =/

I target keywords on the opposite side of the spectrum. Low competition niches that I know I can monetize well.

Its far less work, and far more stable. I see guys in competitive niches who deal with nothing but bs. Their rankings dance, no stability in their income, always paranoid, always complaining, more heat from google... and all for what?

Don't get me wrong, if you are an absolute master at SEO, I don't think its wrong.

But 95% of people have no right targeting keywords that competitive. The way I see it, it would be like me getting in the octagon with a champion UFC fighter. I would get slaughtered. One of the MOST IMPORTANT concepts I follow, is that when it comes to war, the most important thing a man can do, is pick his battles wisely.

Most guys on this forum, have no idea how to do that. Which is pretty sad.

There is a basic rule in marketing - any marketing - that is to target customers. That is to say, a niche. The deeper, the more refined this niche is, the better it will be.

If you want to tackle the get-rich-quick niche, you need to think about what motivates people to want to make money online. You side-step the difficult, closely fought and expensive "make money" niche.

Consider "I want my shop to stay open longer to attract more customers" because the shop does not have enough customers. Instead, think why they might not be shopping with you. Because this will give you the answer. This kind of reverse engineering is the key to understanding marketing, which of course includes internet marketing.

The much easier option is to buy something and sell it at a profit. That way you aren't bothering yourself about closely fought niches. Even now opportunities abound.

    Hope this helps. M
