Stupid Facebook Ad Question...

Right, I don't know nothing about Facebook ad's and I am just dabbling in them and seeing the sorts of conversion rates. Here is the question... If I max bid on CPM for, lets say, $1, why is it when I finally get 1k impressions, It has cost me $3? I genuinely can't figure it out and it's probably a stupid question to. Every time I have worked with PPC networks, the max bid has been exactly that, the max bid. I don't see how Facebook can go higher then what I am willing to spend per bid? Anyone care to add a little insight .

There is a difference in per bid or per 1000 views, bit if you are making ur ads configuration right this shouldnt happen. Perhaps try to contact the fb ads support team

That makes no sense... I assign the price of CPM, it is what I am willing to pay, if that falls under their desired price, the ad doesn't show, simple as that. They don't assign nothing, sure you can have setting within a campaign which allows them to optimise the price of clicks/cpm but that is unchecked.

Either way, I have contacted them and should be getting a phone call shortly so it should be interesting.

That's a good question. I never used CPM on Facebook...but $1 CPM should be $1 CPM, not $3 CPM. I would ask FB support. I'd like to hear what they say once you find out.
