Huge Confusion - Domain PR vs Page PR

Hello warriors,

Recently, I have known that a URL has its own PageRank(PR) beside Domain PR. Now, If i make a backlink on a URL (Example: www.abc.com/new-post.html) which has a PR0 but the Domain(Example: www.abc.com) has a PR6. So, Will it count as a PR0 backlink or PR6 backlink. Logically, It may be, PR0 and I will get a some weigh as the domain has PR6. Is it true?

I need some advice about it. I have googled it so many times but didn't get any articles on it except some forum discussions which didn't able to clear my confusion.

My another confusion is, If a forum has PR6 and I make a new post which PR will be N/A, then, how the backlink will be counted? My, same confusion goes to the Social Bookmarking sites also..

It will count as a PR0 backlink, but due to the the domain having a PR6 (and assuming the website has a good site structure) It is very likely the the PR0 page on the next update will gain PR (1-5 or even 6) due to the PR flow from the homepage

To make it easier for you:

There is no credit given to a sub-page (PR0 Link) based on the root domain's PR. This means that PR0 page will pass PR0 link juice to your link. PR6 page link will be counted as PR6.

If that would be the case (like you mentioned) then SEO will be easy as hell. : )

Exactly, it's called PageRank for a reason. Each web page has its own PR.

I'm not sure I understand the question you asked about the forum. Are you asking if backlinks with a PR that is N/A are completely ignored? If so, then no. They are not completely ignored, they just aren't as powerful as backlinks that are ranked.

Your Backlink will be counted as PR-N/A only. You will get the little benefit from that page.
