I want to post online, articles that will NOT be indexed, or found by search engines, only by a link posted online.

These are duplicate interesting content (posted with permission, not stolen)
I do not want to post on my blog, but still want my readers to have access to via a link on my blog.

You can create a separate blog and disallow indexation of it.
Or create pages on your blog and do not give links from other pages to it, close it from indexation. Thus your articles will be accessed only if someone has a link.
Another option is creating pages which can be accessible only with login/password authorization.

I don't know how good you are at websites. You need a folder (directory) on your website. Let's call it Admin - because mine's called that, and it isn't indexed either. If I want to hide stuff, keep the sniffers out, that's where it gets dumped.

It's by invitation only, which is sort-of what you want.

You then need a robots.txt file with the following information on it:

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /cgi-bin/
    Disallow: /images/
    Disallow: /admin/

each of those directories will not be indexed.

Usual blogging etiquette is that if you provide a link back to the original site, you may publish the article on your blog.

I hope this helps. If you want more help, please ask. I'm happy to explain anything you don't understand - and I can make pictures for you too if that would make things easier.
