SEO Spyglass Unpredictable? It Stopped Showing Half My Links.

Spyglass use to show about 32 backlinks for me and now its only showing 12. This happened a couple of days ago.

I'm noticing that its specifically not showing my wordpress or tumblr links anymore, but all those links are still indexed. If anything, the PR of those pages has gone up, so I'm confused.

What in the world could cause Spyglass to randomly just stop showing more than half my links? I liked using it because it would find a lot of links for my new site. Most other checkers were not, aside from webmaster tools. But I don't use webmaster tools as much cause it doesn't record backlink factors.

This is the 2nd day its been doing this. Anyone have an idea why?

    We apologize for this inconvenience; SEO SpyGlass is currently undergoing some changes, and there might be a temporarily decrease in performance similar to the one you describe.

    However, it might be unrelated to the maintenance, so please go through your list of Preferred Backlink sources again (in Preferences -> Preferred Backlink Sources) to check if any have been accidentally deselected.

    Red, if you do backlink research for your site, you can also do the following. Import your links from Google Webmaster Tools and keep checking if they are current with SEO SpyGlass, until the software is back to normal.

    hello Sir, I have no idea about Spyglasses. i generally use free tool for all my purpose

    (a) backlink check : majesticSEO to check backlink. To use it More effectively, signup and upload the necessary file for root DIR same as google webmaster tool. It can provide complete data of backlinks with Dofollow, IP, anchor text, etc.

    (b) Cuterank and http://serp-checker.ezmlm.org/: to check exact keyword ranking in almost all search engines.

    (c) Streaming frog for Link Analysis of website

    I just updated some of my Spyglass projects and it seems like some of the backlinks are gone. But I can't tell if that was Spyglass or just the backlinks have been removed. Will check by hand later.

    All in all, it doesn't look that bad. The overall number of backlinks across the rebuilt projects seems the same, with some new backlinks found.

    I love SEO Spyglass, an excellent backlink checking tool, however sometimes I have noticed links not appearing that show up in other tools.
