Hi All,

I am noticing my blog/ articles appearing in search more and more, but this hasn't translated to results for my main page in search. Since a huge factor is getting conversions, what would you reccomend?

Thanks

When your page shows up, find out what it is appearing for. Do that search yourself and see what others are doing. It might not be a term people use when wanting to buy something.

Does this help any? If not, I'm usually around to come up with other answers. M

If you're saying that blog posts are showing up in search results but not your "main" page, then you need to start treating your blog posts as your "main" page. Every page of your site should have "conversion" in mind. What can you do on those blog posts to start the conversion process? Guide the readers to where you want them to go.

Use analytics or conversion tracking to find which keyword terms already convert for you, and then optimize existing or future content to rank for them.

Check that there is actually decent search volume for those keywords that your blog pages are ranking for and either create a sales funnel on your posts, bringing them to your sales page(s), OR sell directly from the post sidebars or within the posts themselves.

You may add more links and information about your money site to your articles and blog posts and thus encourage referral traffic. As your site apparently needs some more optimization, try to analyze the keywords your blog ranks for and then optimize your site for the same keywords.
Google Analytics gives valuable insights too, for instance how people come to find your blog, which content they skip and which they stick to.. You can use this information to get the idea how your money site can be optimized.
However, probably the best solution for now is to embed sales in your blog posts and redirect readers to your money site at some point.
