Linking a domain with different hosting

Hi.. i got a domain+hosting package for one of my websites thats working fine.
At the documentation of my webhosting it says i can host a maximum of 3 websites on it.

Now my question is.. if i buy a domain only from a different company and want to somehow (anyone idea how?) link it as 2nd website on the other hosting, how does that work?

Also.. do such domains perform worse in serps?

EDIT: // i already asked the support of my hosting they say i eighter have to do it trough Alias or some other way they explain, but they seem to know nothing about the SERP issue.

I'm not sure I totally understand your question, but I'll take a stab at answering. I think what you're asking about is parked domains (that is, domains hosted somewhere else that are linked to a different host).

I'd recommend looking through the documentation of both hosts to see if you can find your answer there. If that fails, open up a support ticket at your primary host and see if they can help you.

    I hope that helps.

I could be wrong, but you would need to get the nameservers from your webhost, and put those under your domain you purchase. Then under control panel in your hosting, should be a spot to create a new add on domain, just enter the domain name there and it will create a spot in your hosting for the site. I have domains through godaddy but a diffirent host and that's what I do. Let me know if i mis-understood

yeah when you put in the info for your domain name under the addon domain, it will create a specific folder, and you put your files for the site in that folder.

For your second question, I am not 100% sure. I don't think it has any effect, but maybe someone can correct me if im wrong
