Has google DISAVOW tool helped anyone at all?

Hello,

I was just wondering, has someone recovered from penalty or ranking drop just by submitting "bad" links to Google disavow tool?

    I haven't used the tool, but I did remove the links manually. There were few bad back links to my site, hence I decided to remove them naturally, But I have heard that this tool could help you tell Google that they should not consider the bad links.

    The only "bad" links I can think of disavowing would be links from porn/illegal websites. Otherwise I don't think it will have much of an effect.

    I have use the Google disavow tool but it will remove those link which you will like.you have to add XLS format list attached with this which links you like to remove
