Hey everyone, I've got my site build by one of the freelancer, they've got great reviews etc. I rank a website to like 2nd page and then install that theme and 2 out of 4 times, right after the installing/configuration the site gets dropped. Is it because of the theme?

How do I know the theme is SEO friendly and not causing the drop in ranking? Please someone who is exprienced in it answer this question, thank you much in advance.

Install Yoast SEO to your wordpress blog, go to each pages and run an SEO test via that plugin.

Interestingly, I removed Yoast from all my wordpress sites and reverted back to All-in-one seo which seems to give me much better results, at least for sharing.

Maybe YOU should explain first what the freelancer does when "building" the site... if you need to add/change the theme after that?

And no, not all themes are created equal: some are dumber than others

What you mean "Maybe YOU should explain first what the freelancer does when "building" the site"? He just builds a website like any other theme.

Does anyone knows what a reason could be? Please shine some light on to it, thanks.

Is the new theme full of widgets, huge images, Javascript and other slow-loading stuff? The could be your problem.

Or it could just be a coincidence. Why not trying switching back to the original theme for a few days and see if your rankings improve?

You've given very little information to go off.

I have no idea why you decide to change the theme (multiple times) after you've built and ranked a site.

In general, you will get some movement in your rankings after changing a theme. You need to wait a couple of weeks or so to see where it eventually ends up as it will most likely bounce around in the rankings.

I already did switched back to my old theme, still isnt' ranking anywhere.

This is the theme that I've installed, its fine on this site but it caused a drop in 2 other sites, coincidence after 2nd round I now beging to doubt, please examine and see if there could be any issues! Raspberry Ketone Fat Burner | Reviews & Info

If you want to over optimize your pages and wait for Panda to hit your site then you should definitely use SEOPressor.

Dude seriously, are you living in the stone age?

The first thing you need to do is use w3c validator to check the html your pages are putting out making sure their are zero errors. If so address them with your vendor. In my experience SEOPressor's methodology is spot on but the implemintation sucks. Use a plugin called Clickbump SEO. It accomplishes the same thing as SEOPressor however it only shows you what to do then ranks your post/page giving you suggestions on how to improve it. You can also use all in one SEO or toast for other aspects. I personally find that WordPress is much harder to rank for then other available platforms and I have yet to find a platform that beats straight properply coded HTML. I have sites that rank on page 1 on all SERPS that I have not done any updates for over a year in highly competitive keywords that are less then ten pages of content and built using straight HTML.
