As Google Help says it's about few weeks.

Google Disallow Tool , as name suggest helps to Disallow negative back-links But Actually not removed .

Preference Should Not be to use Tool Do it manually
As Matt says in the video,
you still need to make a thorough attempt at trying to get the links removed on your own in order to have a manual penalty revoked.

If you think the problem is that you have too many links with the main keyword, building backlinks with other keywords, the ratios change.

Probably Remove those Bad Links , If you have not idea which link are Comes in category unnatural then may Google Disavow Tool is good option to find and remove or not considered by Google .

Give More preference to remove bad links by manual process .

In Future Care to linking website in natural and quality styles by making steps not out of Google rules . Diversify your textual link . "money keyword are not important to link" but its trend to target non-money keywords"
      Thanks

I think, Google only knows. It may take several weeks and I don't think, they will inform you once they disavow your reported backlinks. So you will need to keep an eye on your backlinks and search engine ranking of those keywords which were effected.

I have used it before with very little result. IMO it is better to build more quality links towards the site than to worry about those negative ones.

don't use the tool, just copy your site to a new domain and move on, the more time you spend praying you're disavowing the bad links is more time you could be doing, anything else.

    Hey,

Make sure you are doing it in proper format, as Matt Cutts instructed by micro blogging site Twitter.

    https://twitter.com/mattcutts/status/297057040034050048

If you are doing so, your bad link may be removed with in few weeks from Google Database. But you will must have to wait until next update by Google, in which you website has been reported to see some good result on the SERP.

The more backlinks you have, the more time will be required. I had a friend who used this tool to remove the bad links to his site. They were not much. It took him 10-12 days.
