Newbie - Google Analytics/Webmaster Tools - multiple domains

Hi Everyone,

I am a complete newbie, getting started in IM, and am working on 3 sites presently.

My question though, is how to handle multiple sites with Google Webmaster and Google Analytics?

Like, should I have just one Google Account, and put all sites in the same account?

Or keep every site separate?

Also, I know this is early days, but if I was to sell a site, i guess that would be a problem right? How would the new owner get access?

Double Also, what if you end up with 10, 20, 50 sites - how do you manage all of those? all on one account, all in single accounts?

So many possibilities.

Thanks for the help.

    Thank you for the advice.

Yes I am learning very quickly that I need to focus - and I am starting to

But I already have the sites, so just need to setup Google Webmaster and Analytics .. and need to figure out the best way.

I have many websites and I have them under the same GA and WMT account.

As for an eventual sale of a website - now it is easy. Both Analytics and Webmaster Tools allow you to have more then one user per website, with different permissions.
If you decide to sell a website you just add the buyers email as the owner in WMT and as administrator in Analytics and ask him to downgrade your access and then remove it.

But in Analytics you must be careful to add each website as a new Property (under the same login), not as a new profile. You really need to read this before you begin setting up your account: Understanding accounts, users, properties, and profiles - Analytics Help
