You can rank faster by getting quality links from authority sites by publishing your guest post. One thing you should ensure is to write unique exclusive post and add you link under the post as author info or if some one allows link inside the post, you can add inside the post body.

Ranking depends on a whole lot of different factors working in conjunction with one another.

Certain "easy" (i.e. less popular) keywords can be conquered using just the simplest SEO (e.g. having the right keyword density on page) - and that's it. Others, more competitive keywords, require a much more structured approach.

You need to ensure that your on-page SEO is "perfect", i.e. that you have the correct semantic environment (LSI keywords used properly on page and throughout the site), the right densities, correct anchors (not too pushy!), etc.

And then you need to ensure that you're linking OUT to authority (and other related) sites - and - that you have a decent number of links point back at you.

Ranking fast is not that hard. Leverage the "strength" of a third party site. For example, create a YouTube video. YT tends to rank very well. Then, send a ton of links at it. (Those blasts you see at Fiverr, for example.) If your competition isn't immensely difficult it's going to rank pretty quickly.

Problem, though, is that it's most likely going to tank long-term. It's definitely a bad business model. But you'll see some quick rankings.
