Pr of expired domains

Hi

I have a list of expired domains I need to analyse and consider if I should buy. They are expired and free to register through any domain registration service they are not held by a broker etc and such hvae no host attached to them.

In this scenario would a pr check on that domain yield a n/a and once the domain is bought you should see it show its original pr again?

Im asking because these domains do have backlink profiles. What is the best way of analysing them? I don't want a domain with a pr of n/a lol

    SEO Spyglass along with ahref.com

Free versions of these 2 are good enough too.

ive got seomoz trial membership on open site explorer and i plan to use ahrefs in a moment. Just harvested a list of about 9 expired and available domains using xenu. All from pages of a pr5 and only going 1 link deep. But open site explorer holds no information on any of the domains other then just 1 of them.

It has a moz trust score of 5.27, domain authority 22, and page authority 34 (with wwws), it only has 17 links domains and 43 back total links.

I can't see this domain being higher then a pr1. When I look at its backlinks there from crappy article directories that hold no pr on the page there coming from. But this domain must have a link from a pr5 page as I used sb to get my list of sites and did a pr check on the url of each entry before exporting and importing this list to xenu.

I'm not sure why all the other domains hold no data. Can anyone help give some feedback?

You can simply download a software like Hossain told you and you'll be able to see the PR of your domains if you search for them. Easy & Free.

So lets get this right. What your trying to tell me is seo spy glass will actually tell you the pr of a domain, that has expired, and has no host associated with it????

No it will show you the backlinks along with PR of those backlinks of the domains that are linking to the expired domain and from there you will see if it could possibly have PR.

Spyglass free version only shows 10 results if I remember correctly. I suppose you could get away with the free version if you only want a few results. It's worth paying for because of all the in-depth info you get but it can take long time to run if there are alot of backlinks.

It's database is not as big as Majestic or Ahrefs but you don't want to look at just one database anyway.

I check the backlinks in Opensiteexplorer. I have a premium version, so I get each and every details along with social media. It is really good. You can try their trial version for a start.

OSE shows very small portion of backlinks. I used to use OSE but nowadays I rely on my personally developed script along with ahref and SEO Spyglass.

By the way free version of Market Samurai is not a bad option too.

yeah cool thanks im using opensite explorer through the pro seo moz account at moment got about 30 domains to check ive harvested.

After reviewing my options I think seo spy glass is the best option as at a glance you can see the prs of the backlinks. Saves time on doing this manually. Shame the free version only shows 10 results though. How often have you come across a pr5 domain?

Unless they have changed it, the free version of SpyGlass shows up to 1000 backlinks.
