Question about Exact Match Domains
- SEO |
I am in a situation where my website was hit last Jan.17, 2013 by something I have yet to figure out. According to Google it was Panda... but am not sure. My website which used to rank on page 1 for a number of keywords disappeared just like that. It wasn't a google penguin penalty or anything like that, nor was it deindexed, since my link profile is legit, or so I would think. I did find other sites that duplicated my content, which might be the cause and have filed the necessary complaints with DMCA. Some sites have already been taken down the rest will probably take more time. Anyway, while waiting for this issue to resolve, I need to get more organic traffic from Google. I am thinking of setting up a couple of fresh websites with exact match domains and am looking for advice on how to tackle EMD domains without getting canned by Google. What are the limitations on content and keywords for EMD domains? Is this a good idea or is there a better idea? I have several youtube videos ranking decently for the same keywords I am having trouble with, but I would like my website or any of the new websites to be solidly ranking there as well.
Also, if I had a couple of new websites with EMD domains, will it be ok for these sites to mention my brand from my old website (the one I am having problems with) and possibly link back to it? Or can I brand those new sites like my old one - company name and all?
Would appreciate any advice on this as my knowledge on what Google has been doing lately is rather limited. Thanks.
