Get quality back links from high PR site and pages.

Note, PR is only updated every 3 months or so.

So, you might not see your PR increase dramatically because of this until the period is reached.

Do not be sad. Please try to post some good article, press release, guest blogging site. Also side by side do high pr social bookamrking, Social media and other off-page SEO activities(Backlinking). So I hope you will get PR after few month. Your SEO activities should continue everyday.

Focus less on pagerank, and focus more on ranking your keywords. Have you done keyword research and found keywords you want to rank for?

If not, then you should focus on that then write articles about the topic, then build quality backlinks.

Build as many backlinks as you can and use social bookmarking...also write quality content geared towards helping the reader and google will recognize you have quality content,

I wouldn't worry so much if your website is pretty new!

    Goodluck

    Chris.

First, you shouldn't be so concerned with PR. Like gearmonkey said, focus on ranking your keywords. Thats all I did and my pr jumped from prna to pr 1 in 4 months.

Its not a huge increase, but the fact is I don't care what my pr is. Especially when my top 2 competitors both have prna sites. All their links are prna, but they are highly relevant, coming from their own small private networks, and this is what helps their sites rank the best. Focus on extremely relevant, contextual links, and you'll be golden.

Update your site with unique content regularly. Also get some niche related backlinks for your site. and so social bookmarking and social Networking for your website.

First thing - pagerank is only updated every few months or so. Don't get too hung up on it; your ranking on google is still based on your content no matter what your pagerank is.

If you want to get your pagerank up, put tons of content and use your keywords properly. Even at a PR0 you can get a very high ranking (even #1). So don't get too caught up in that.

If you're still concerned, go ahead and make a link wheel with high quality content, and if you want to grey hat it a bit, buy some high PR links for a couple months.

It's not that easy to get PR for any site, but if make consistent good and quality backlinks for your site, then there's some chance to get them, and PR is only updated every 3 months or more. Last PR update took 4 months. So, keep on making backlinks.

That's not true at all. While focusing on your own page's PR is for the most part a waste of time, saying that PR is 100% worthless is nonsense.

I'll take a link from a PR 7 page all day over an equivalent link from a PR 0 page.

Mike, ever notice how link threads get filled with BS replies from link sellers?
Just look at all BS and those sigs...now a lot of you may know the rest of the story.

What's funny, is that the OP took his site from PR n/a to PR0. Which means,
he's on the right track anyway, BS aside.

Page rank isn't worth anything unless your only monetization plan is to sell PR backlinks on your website.

Focus on getting traffic, or on selling to your current traffic.

Evy not to worry. The PR of your site means little to nothing. Concentrate on getting links POINTING TO your site that have PR. Thats what helps your site rank and also will cause PR increases on your site which really doesn't matter

I can help you but I'm not selling garbage. I don't expect you to believe me because 99.99% of everything for sale is garbage so it's a real tough call for you as well as for everyone, myself included. Just remember everything you hear and read is a lie, as long as you remember this, you and your site will find a way to the top.

This is what I personally believe. Getting backlinks from relevant sites. But one question here, by mentioning small private network, do you mean a bunch of blogs from blogger, wordpress, blog.com etc?

Pagerank is not everything. The age of your website (not domain) is important for your pagerank. So a 10-years website has mostly a higher pagerank than a website of 2 months. But my advice is; not focus on PR, write content and the other things, you will see the PG and other results soon..

I will second, third and fourth the advise already given. Chasing PR is like chasing happiness, if you obsess about finding happiness it will elude you but if you do what you do best and follow your bliss in life, happiness chases you. Likewise sites with good content and great back link profile will rise in SERP and higher PR will follow and you won't care by then.
