Need help Increasing CTR

I need some help increasing my ctr, I have had my website about minecraft seeds for about 14 months. I get an average of 1k pageviews a day.

My Ctr is less than 1%, i know its not a super beautiful site, but it has a lot of good content and I would like to make more than a dollar a day like i am at the moment.

Is it really just that my ad placement is bad? What other changes can you recommend that I make to increase my ctr?

    Your ad placement is good, I would recommend, remove one 120x600 banner from sidebar and put one banner below every post.

        I also think you should remove that sidebar ad because the site actually looks like a MFA (made for Adsense) site as that's what stands out. The ads are better to blend with the content.

        I would also change the colours of the site to a white background so people can read your content and maybe see the enticing ad clearly.

          Thanks for the advice. I think you are right about the background color. I will run a test on that tonight. As the second person to mention the sidebar ad, I think it is worth experimenting with as well.

    You should disable unrelevant ads imo, I only see ads for reseller hosting and other stuff that has nothing to do with gaming. There is an option for that somewhere in the Adsense control panel.

      Thanks for the reply Nik0, I have tried to do this before. The reason you are probably seeing those ads is that you have been at internet marketing websites so google is showing them to you.

      Not everyone will see those ads, I would like to make them more specific to gaming as well but can only turn off so many categories, due to adsense restrictions.
