I need to make a comeback. . . help?

Basically, I want to revive my Adsense business. More than a year ago, before the Panda update, my sites were bringing in $20+ per day. I know not much by some standards, but I only do this part time. Anyway, after Panda (or one of them) they dropped to the point I am only making $3-8 per day now. I will admit I got discouraged, and gave up for a while. I rarely added more content, etc.

Well, I am ready to come back and start again. I know it can be done, I know I have a few quality sites. But, I am unsure where to go. I am great with adding original, quality content on my sites - it is what I do best. It is the backlinking strategies that have me stuck.

I used to buy Fiverr gigs for Scrapebox, Xrummer, etc. (I don't even know what is the 'thing' now) for backlinks, but I am not sure about that either.

A couple of my sites get good, natural linking through Pinterest - love that! But where to go, what to do?

I am open to suggestions. Although it is late here and I might hit the sack, I will check back tomorrow

    You already know the reason you made the $20+ is you had targeted traffic, so you don't necessarily need new content (assumes your site has existing content). Not saying new content wouldn't help, but If the traffic is low not much point in expanding yet.

    Your WF member name is scrapgirl42, If that's making reference to scrapbooking there's your traffic answer, scrapbooking forums (massive niche traffic). Work on getting niche forum traffic while your working on SEO.

    The key to niche forums is you need to have the content people are asking questions about on the forums, give away content directly on the niche forum without asking for anything in return, people eat that up. Build up a rep as the go to person for a sub-niche, example, scrapbook tutorials (just an example) & stay focused on the sub-niche. Slowly show forum members you have a website with awesome content, don't spam.

    Staying focused tells people interested in the niche your serious about the sub-niche (ex:scrapbook tutorials), this helps get other forum members building niche links for you when people ask forum questions like how do I make a scrapbook?, bingo, your site is the go to source for learning how to make scrap books (or whatever).

    This works (niche forum traffic), I've been doing it for 6+ years & started out as a hobby just like you, been a full-time income for a few years now. It doesn't happen over night, it takes upfront work.

    What's great about niche forums is, most people interested in a niche will join multiple forums & will spread your authority links around multiple same niche forums/sites/blogs for free (more traffic with less work).

    Stay away from the junk link blast on irrelevant forums/sites.
