    Well maintained sites deliver value but you are searching for "SPAMMED" sites. Right? If anyone tells you about such sites, you will find that these are spammed already. Only a domain extension doesn't deliver value.

    If you are looking for .edu links because you think they are more authoritative, .gov and .edu links don’t carry any more authority than a .com or a .org or a dot whatever. Watch the video in Matt Cutt’s blog post below. You will hear it right from the horse’s mouth. There is nothing special about .gov’s and .edu’s (all else being equal in terms of pagerank).

    ichl13 & Dayes thank you - I laughed until I pissed my pants.

    Being on this forum so surreal - but your posts are so true as this is the level of the folks that are on here. The sad thing is they believe they are guru's and experts and are probably billing themselves as such and found a few sucker clients to pay them.

    They then come here to try and learn something so they can deliver. A sad business model that will collapse quickly.

    My saving grace is that I am a member of SEOmoz and actually get to see some real SEO's in action and at the top of their game.

    I come here for entertainment and you guys delivered

    Edu links are basically useless unless your website is an education website. Don't even bother.

      Is it true? People try so hard to get backlinks from .edu and .gov sites to build trust in Google eyes.

    Heck !! I got penalize after getting links from .gov and .edu sites, so i believe not to get over on. Just make backlinks from authority sites rather than running for spam to death sites.
