Hello Friends
I purchase a domain that is top 4 rank and is getting traffic but how many takes to get a lot of traffic if the each month people search for that term, im just getting at this moment 30 visits each day.
The domain haves 7 days old.

    I am also a bit confused. 30 visits per day would be 900 per month. the title
    states 22,000+ per month? if you are asking how to increase traffic to your
    site there are many ways talked about on this forum. you can buy targeted
    traffic, do youtube vids or many other types of advertising.

    If you are ranked 4th on the first page you may want to make an effort on
    some on page SEO to move up to #1 but I guess it depends on what your
    competition looks like to know if that was worth the time/expense.

        someone more experienced than me can give you ideas how to increase
        your traffic. the only thing I would say is your site is only 7 days old.
        you may want to be a bit patient and see what things look like in another
        week or two.

        it does seem like you should be getting more traffic. I may not know
        alot about the technical side of IM/traffic etc. yet but I do know you have
        to be patient, have a solid plan and give it time to work.

    Is that exact match searches? We you logged in to google when you checked the stats. If so have a look for the break down of the average each postion get in google ie: #1 #2 #3 - Off the top of head I think #1 gets 70ish%.

      To be honest i dont think the guy has even a mild understanding of seo or any IM topic. He bites more then he can chew.

      To stay ontopic: a 22k keyword doesnt mean you get 22k visitors even if you are #1 in the list. If any of the sites above you have better infonon the subject visitors just dont even come scrolling further in the results. Know your competition before you go to a ranking war

        My friend, i do know a lot of stuff of SEO but my principal language is spanish so is hard for me to express my self with the good words.

    OK, I will try and give you a hand.

    1) You mention the keyword gets 22,000 searches per month. Is this exact, phrase, or broad match? If you don't know, go to Google KW Tool, search your keyword and make sure that the exact match box is selected on the left hand-side of the screen.

    If your term does in fact get 22,000 exact match keyword searches a month, you could expect to receive the following percentage of visitors:
    1) 56.4%
    2) 13.4%
    3) 9.9%
    4) 4%
    5) 4.7%
    6) 3.3%
    7) .4%
    8) 2.9%
    9) 1.4%
    10) 2.6%
    These numbers are based on a study conducted at Cornell University. You can read more about the study here (I don't have a link to the actual publication).

    Obviously, the number of paid placements (Adwords) will have a negative effect on these percentages. Some studies have indicated that for highly competitive keywords that organic search only gets 50%(!) of the total volume of clickthroughs. The other 50% goes to paid placements.

    So, assuming there are no or very few paid placements, which push your results below the fold and 22K is the exact match volume of the your keyword, you would expect to get about [22,000 (searches a month) X 0.04 (4% for 4th place)]/30ish days (in a month) = ~29 visitors a day.

    So, it would seem you are getting what the above math would predict.

    You will realize a >3X increase in visitors if you go from 4 to 2.

    I think if you are thinking that Google external tool for keyword research is perfect or near to it, then you should better think again. As per my experience, it never gives you correct keyword search per month.

    Also, make sure that compeititors of your niche would be searching for same keyword, thus you need to make sure that out of 22,000, the real searching would be around 10,000 etc..

    Am i right WF members?
