I'm sure this question has been asked at least ten times per day on this site, but could you please tell me the standard link directories where you post your sites. I know there are many other strategies--articles, blog postings, press releases, etc. But does anyone have a standard go-to list for their first few links for a new site? Any other thoughts on links much appreciated.

Well I guess I should have given more information. I appreciate the links. I have read numerous articles and blog posts about finding links and have also watched a short course on the topic. So I get the general idea. But, now that linking software at least seems dangerous in light of Panda, and given that writing articles/press releases takes more time than I have in the day, and given that most directories cost $$ (which seems out of reach given that many really competitive sites have many thousands of links--so I'm supposed to pay for just one?) obviously creating links is either expensive or very difficult. I'm just wondering if there are any standard directories (amazingly never addressed or provided specifically in all of the many blog posts, articles, etc, that simply mention "post in directories"--what directories? Which ones specifically? I am looking for specific sites where you can post links including good forums, directories, etc, not more articles discussing the concept in general because I have read plenty of those to no good end. Thanks!

Seems like you haven't watched the videos.

In case you don't have a lot of time to invest, you will need money to invest.

If you have the basic knowledge, go and watch only this video and then do your research about the topic. Link:

        http://source-wave.com/seo-backlink/

With a tiny monthly budget you can rank your pages fast and safe! (if you have done the right way your keyword research)

About the directories you are looking for, again in the links above Alex is talking much about specific directories!

( I cannot remember the exact directories, so maybe someone else will help here, if you don't have the time to watch the videos)

        Best regards

Thanks. Actually that video had better information than the 4+ hour course I watched on the subject, assuming that his strategy actually works, and requiring a membership in SEO Majestic...

Hey TMW, would you rather build links, or write amazing content that people will share and create links for you

Google wants natural linking, so why not give them what they want.
