I am doing myself SEO work for my own blog but I haven't done SEO for E-commerce site. Is this different than blog SEO or it is same. I know the E-commerce Onpage Optimization, I am only talking about the Off Page SEO.

not a lot differently. You still need some backlinks + time for your pages to gain ranks. However a major difference is making your URL cannon. By this I mean your urls have to contain keywords of the page and product displayed. this way you will rank for the keyword. In order to do this you need some coding help. The problem with most ecommerce software is that they don't automatically create cannon URLs so you need to fix this with some coding help.

Also make sure you describe each product with keywords to increase your chances of ranking for long tail

Reality check: you'll never outrank major online retailers for specific model.

What we do for our e-commerce clients is usually find a still-worthwhile (1000+ monthly search) long tail term. Sun Tzu called it "fight the enemy where he isn't".

It's better to rank at the top for 10 more specific keywords that don't have half the internet chasing after.... you're more likely to stay there. PM me for a free keyword recommendation list or add me on skype.

Of yes you CAN, we do this all the time. Outbeating sites like amazon, ebay and the like is not a problem as those are usually very poorly optimised and rank solely due to their authority and internal linking. Overdoing them is typically not a problem.

Of course there's a difference. Real e-commerce sites use
a little thing called, "paid advertising." They do not rely
            on SEO.

Hello, im currently running an seo for my ecommerce site which i believe is easier to rank than the blog it self
Mostly of ur visitor will stat for few minutes and checking a lot of another pages
Which is good for new google algo
Another reason is an ecommercer usualy update their product in few days so the site it self will looks up to date in google eyes

The method for offpage wont be different from link building tat u use for blog

There is no major difference except that on e-commerce site one would usually have a lot of pages and hence you may need more backlinks pointing to those inner pages with different anchor texts targeting particular products.

No, the two are nearly identical. I'd say on page seo is tricky because you have to hide your keywords and seo while trying to please buyers.
