Hello everyone,

Need some suggestions regarding promotion of poker/casino websites. I'm not new in SEO but recently such niche project is alloted to me. I'd found some casino/poker forums but many of them either nofollow or robot banned.

My primary target is PR, DA and mR, traffic no matter and keyword ranking may be later. I would really appreciate your replies and help.

I look forward to hearing an expert's response by our members.
Thanks for reading. :

If its only a matter of PR etc then go find out some good links .. But make sure that as you are going to use such keywords, many forums and blogs wont accept your link..

If you do not know how to do it, you should not have taken on the project.

Gambling, porn, and other such niches are a much bigger challenge than your typical SEO project.

You really need to make a lot of contacts in the niche to get links.

You will have a very bad time, paid links will be your bread and butter in that niche, in my experience with gambling related niches your budget should be in the thousands.

Yep...Webmasters in this niche do not play around. They drop money like water because they make it back several times over off customers they hook. If you don't have thousand to spend you can quit dreaming - forum sig links and some link blasting software isn't going to work

Well, again if you dont know what you are talking about don't comment, it's very well possible to make it in this niche without spending a fortune. You do NOT need a budget of thousands a month to make it in this niche Mike. You do however need to be creative, be consistent,be able to handle stress, be eager to learn, have a lot of time on your hands, have discipline, be prepared to take a nose dive anytime, have a skin of leather and to have an above moderate expertise of -on and -off page seo. In other words it's not for the "faint of heart" for sure. But these obscure niches have many different ways of being tackled, like any other niche, so don't talk gibberish please. Forum sigs can be very beneficial when done correctly within this niche, especially when they are done on topic. But in general the blast method only works correctly in obscure niches when done on a massive scale and on a professional level.

Then you should give up on this one. Paid links are going to be about the only way you are going to rank for any decent gambling related keywords. I wouldn't touch a gambling site without a budget of at least $5000/month, but you probably need much more than that even.

thanks friends, so paid links are the final BOSS so far concern with SEOs of Poker/casino websites.

What he said. Gambling SEO is a very, very rough league to venture into. I have experience with SEO, but none personally with gambling sites and I'm not going to. Gambling traffic isn't just about getting good high PR backlinks. Those sites usually rely on paid advertising, link relationships with good contacts they have in related sites, and often very "dirty" tactics. Very competitive with one another because there's so much money involved. A gambling site that doesn't budget at least $5K/month, every month, won't survive (from what I've heard). It probably isn't a good move for a novice in the field to jump into, and you might want to reconsider.

Gambling and porn sites are the most lucrative sites on the planet.

I myself have been tempted, but I can't see myself making money
      off that crap.

If you can't figure out how to get traffic to those, then man, you
need to rethink your whole concept of what people do online, and
      how to market to them.

So basically what you are saying is that you would like to get into this "crap" but it's actually beyond your expertise seo wise. No problem Paul just say so.
