Will affiliate links stop Google approving me?

Hello,

new to this so apologies if it's a dumb question: I have several affiliate links on my website although I don't think it's overdone at this stage. What's the likely effect of leaving them there as I apply for Google AdSense?

    There has been no evidence provided that Google judges you in one way or another for having affiliate links on your website.

    They will judge you for the quality of your content and backlinks though.

    If your website has no or low traffic there is no sense in adding aff links or AdSense. Build traffic first then put some flag raisers there!

    IMO it's better to have no affiliate links on any of your pages while trying to get approved with Adsense. That's only my opinion, but common sense says a site with zero affiliate links doesn't look like it's desperate to earn money (keep it simple, don't force the manual reviewer to think). Assumes you have real content, not some $5 spun text on 3 pages & calling it a website.

    If you already have affiliate links on the site your trying to get approved for Adsense & you decide to remove those links, you might want to let Google re-cache the entire sites pages, you never know If a manual reviewer will compare the cache to to the live site.

    Many thanks for your feedback people. I do have a content rich site, at least that is my aim and my belief, and I only have affiliate links on about 10% of those pages. Still it's something to consider. At the moment I'm only getting around 100 unique's per day (although that's up from about 50 in February) so I don't suppose it's really anything to worry about just yet. Still have plenty of time to consider options.

    I put the affiliate links in because I figured it would take some time to set up, so I might as well get it done early. Also, at that stage I wasn't contemplating AdSense. The affiliate links at the moment are producing zero income so I guess I could just dump them for now, wait a month or two for the site to be re-cached and then apply?
