Problem with sitemap ! Plz HELP

I am working for a website which is leasedeals.nl . 1 month ago someone uploaded a sitemap for my website as i agreed. I noticed that sitemap version is xml but they putted .ashx extension on sitemap url path. here is the current sitemap link http://leasedeals.nl/sitemap.ashx . you can see my website sitemap in this link . should i upload a new version of sitemap and rename that url as http://leasedeals.nl/sitemap.xml or current sitemap is correct? Other question is in that sitemap i submitted 607 url but google just indexed 21. Is this problem for sitemap or for other things? Please help me someone . I'm confused .
