    Just don't point them at your main site. Your bound to have a ton of spammed-to-death sites in an AA list. Which can do more harm than good when pointed @ your main site. Send them to your tiers instead.

    That said, I have to kind of question the effectiveness of thousands of lower quality links.

    I remember finding a auto approved list of 35,000 directories a while back. I put the list in article marketing robot, out of 35,000 only 14,000 were still live. I started to submit articles and only received 150 live links lol.

    AAs are garbage and so are the links you will get from them, just save yourself the time and effort.

      Probably 2. But some do still point them at the 1st tier.

      The only time I ever really use an AA list is when I'm pointing them Youtube videos. (Which can handle a sudden surge of backlinks.) But even then I spend some time building and "sanitizing" the list myself.

      They still seem to help bump videos up a bit in the Google rankings. So I'll keep doing it from if a video seems to need an extra nudge.
