Google slapped me! From page 2 to page 14 :(

Arrgh... I have lost the BEST targeted traffic to my site overnight (( I had 40-60 visitors/day in a highly targeted niche. I was on page 2 on Google. I had an opt-in rate of more than 60% with this traffic and that served me well. I collected 20-30 highly targeted leads and with a high priced CPA that I am promoting I couldn't complain at all

However, everything has changed now ( Google has slapped me. Badly ! From top of page 2 they have pushed me down to page 14 (!!!! YES, FOURTEEN ((( WTF ?

Needless to say, now I have only 5-7 organic visitors and only 2-3 leads/day ( THAT SUCKS !!

Why would Google do this ? What did I do wrong ? Okay, I had a (content low) landing page, powered by a high content wordpress page. Surely, there is duplicated content on there as I have used an automatic article and press release posting plugin. Could this be hurting my ranks ? Too many outgoing links ? Duh !! I am so annoyed ! Thought I could retire real soon lol

No, seriously folks...what can I do to get my second page spot back ? Any ideas are welcomed.

    If it is copied content and maybe if you have done something against TOS of G algo, then it is something that is sure to happen. Better check your recent weeks work you did over your website or maybe in terms of SEO..

    That would be my first guess for the problem. You might be on your way to supplemental SERPs, then it's adios muchachos.

    You wanted to retire based on zero efforts, you know that most people have to work their whole life's to build up a pension right, and you thought you could do it with some automatic article (whatever that means) and a a PR posting plugin.

    Sure such methods can work, it's called churn & burn, but retiring means that you get money and don't have to do anything for it anymore. Or that you have a ton of money on your bank account already, so I only have one advice for you: "Rinse & repeat" what you've been doing, but then on a massive scale and you might be able to retire some day.

    Get rid of all the duplicate content, and some of your own unique articles and wait for a panda refresh!

    Also, 2-3 leads from 5-7 visits? That's some conversion rate :-S

    If that happened, your site is garbage. Spam links and lousy content. Learn what you're doing first before building a website.

    Yea you will not be on Google for long with automatic and duplicated content. It needs to be fresh, unique, and valuable content.
