Need some help on my research

Hi there.. i am making a testemonial video that i am going to upload and rank on youtube + google. But with all my text said the video comes up to around 40sec lenght..

I red somewhere on WF that short vids dont rank on google? Is that true?
I am trying to find such videos but i dont know what keywords/phrases to search for..

the vids on the weight loss niche who are ranked in google are all +2.5min..

    That's not true but as with text the length of a video can sometimes indicate the quality and how in-depth it goes but again it's such a broad field that it all depends on a large number of factors.

    Are you experiened in working out the competition and how much work is required in ranking specific keywords? If not i'll give you a hand if you like

    The best what to find out is bye setting up a split test. Things are always changing and regardless of what worked yesterday for someone they may not work tomorrow or today.

    Something I do and teach in SEO is to constantly have isolated experiments going. This way, you can protect yourself from any algorithm changes.

    I see that you are getting held up bye such a small thing bye coming here and asking when that time would have been best suited implementing to see for yourself. Nothing wrong with educating yourself on other's experience, but we as business owners need to allocate more time properly.

    Well i do have some experiance in keyword research, and i picked a keyword for this video that is a lowcomp keyword, the same way as i used to pick microniche keywords. This one has like 1600 mo/s local. Traffic Travis says very easy to rank for.

    Yes true story what you are saying, however i tought i'd skip myself this part and save some time by asking if anyone knows a highly ranked video that has a short lenght. This way i can convince myself that lenght doesn't matter.
