I had my domain "hosted" with weebly but just moved it to hostgator with wordpress installed.

Now I can't get analytics to work.

I installed the code where it should be (i think) but it wont pick it up.

I think it has to do with the fact that it was on my old site or something?

I did manage to get GWMT to validate

did you download the GA for wordpress plugin?

if you did just manually add in your UA code.

I was trying to do without a plugin,

cause the theme I have has an option for putting the code on every page. That's where I put it, and it should be in the right place.

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with my site relocation?

Your GA code is installed on the live web page (Index page is all I checked). Your code is UA-xxxxx575-1.

If you're logging into your Google Analytics account, getting your UA code, and then putting it where the theme has a place for it, it shouldn't have anything to do with your site relocation. Make sure there are not any spaces before or after the UA code.

You may want to configure a plug-in just to test it. If it works through the plug-in, then you know it's the theme. If it still doesn't work with the plug-in, it probably has to do with the code (incomplete, spaces, wrong account, etc.)

You may want to clear your browser's cache and try it again.

The GA code is in the live web pages (footer) HTML source code.

How long will it take GA to detect the code on the site? I know it can take up to a few days to report info, but how long before it finds the code? cause it keeps telling me the code is not on the site and I keep telling it with my mind

        YES IT IS!

        lol
