How Long Does It Take For Google Local To List "More Reviews" From Other Sites?

Like when you hover over a google listing, and on the right it lists all the other sites that have reviews. Is this something that happens randomly?

I notice that most listings which rank well, if you hover over them, they display these additional links.

The thing is, I have reviews on other sites, but for some reason google is not merging them with my listing.

All the NAP info is the same... so has it not been long enough? Does it take a certain amount of reviews? My listing is probably 4 months old. Is there a way I can force google to recognize those other review sites, so it displays them when people hover over my listing?

This is something that I've never seen talked about, but it seems important. Because all the listings that rank well, generally have the "more reviews" option when you hover over their listings.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I know it takes around 4-6 weeks to see Google+ local updates.

I would consider pinging the reviews pages using the Massping website, this may help Google, although it's a long shot as them review pages are likely already indexed.

Google are in the transition of Google places to Google+ Local also - have you created a Google+ Local listing? The two should then merge. That may fix issue since it could be holding your listing back from progressing.

It depends on a number of factors, some of which are (potentially):

    - Semantics of the information found on the page - if Google determines what is written could be considered a review of your company, then it would associate it as such on your Google+ Local listing

    - Structured reviews - if the reviews are specifically marked up as reviews, Google will more easily understand they are such

    - History of having reviews - if the website where your reviews are has the history of providing review information for businesses, Google will find the reviews faster

In general, there are a few websites which are good for reviews and which Google finds relatively fast (4-10 weeks):

    - Citysearch (part of the CityGrid network)
    - Judysbook (part of the CityGrid network)
    - Insiderpages (part of the CityGrid network)
    - Qype (recently acquired by Yelp)
    - Yellowbot (review syndication site)

As well as some industry-specific ones, but these depend on the niche you are in.

    Hope this helps!
