My Posts Are Not Being Indexed. Need Help, Please

Hi Warriors,

I am hoping for some advice. In the last 8 days my posts are not being indexed. Before 10th of March I did not have any problems, everything was indexed quite fast.

The blog is only about a month old. The link to the blog is the 1st one in my sig (I don't want to place a link in this post here)

Can anyone please tell me what could be wrong? Why would this happen.

Thanks,

Dita

You said you didn't have any problem until recently, did you make any changes in your posting procedures? Maybe you added more links or ads or banners, perhaps? Because if Google deemed your blog s spammy, you could have been penalized. Or you could try pinging your posts so they will be indexed faster. Hope this helps.

Hi, thanks for your response. I do have banners on my site, but I don't believe my site is spammy. I also believe I have good content, so I don't have a clue.

I have experienced similar indexing problem recently.

My posts got indexed within 20 minutes before, but now it takes 5-7 days.

I have no idea of why this happens. Any one got a clue?

Make sure you have a working sitemap on your site. If it's still a problem then submit your site to Webmaster Tools for further analysis.

      Hi,

I have a site map on my site and I also re-submitted a sitemap to Google. I checked the health of my site in Webmaster tools and there does not seem to be a problem there.

My site should be pinged every time I publish a post via WP. I also have a pingler account and have it set on pinging every 3 days. Maybe that is too much.

      Anyway,

      Have no more ideas.

You should be sure that your website has not been marked as spammed or flagged! Just add it in some social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, etc.) and wait for Google to index your website again!

Perhaps you don't realize that google will not index a page based
on a nofollow link. If not, it's high time that you actually started
      doing research.

The only other suggestion is to change your sitemap plugin. I had a problem with a specific plugin when I first started building WP blogs. Although it was installed correctly, the sitemap could not be crawled by the bots.

Have you changed or tweaked any other settings in your WP Dashboard lately?

    Hi Smodha,

I have only introduced a sitemap recently. To be honest with you, I thought I published the page only to find it in draft version when I began to see this problem. Right now I am using Simple Sitemaps plugin. It is very simple and it seems to work.

    Thank you for your suggestion.

I just found out that one of the unindexed posts is finally indexed. Obviously the suggestions from this thread that I implemented must have helped.

Thank you all for caring enough to respond.
