Pinging Private Network websites

Hi,
I want to be on the safe side so my question are:
Do you ping websites in your private network when you post new links on them or do you let it sit there until Google discovers them?

Do you do pinging with online ping services or do you use something like Linklicious?

    If they are good solid sites, no real need to ping them.

      They are just aged PR sites from a private network. Not too much content on them.
      I mean would it attract any "bad" attention from if they are pinged?

    tbh if the page requires to be pinged for the link to be found, the link power is most likely going to be crap.

    I link build to the posts, then ping the links I've built - Or I'll get 1 of my team to manually do some relevant link building for the posts.

    If it's a good domain/site it shouldn't need it - There are a few cool ways to get it added easily and Google will love!
    Have an analytics code of the country you're targeting (if you're targeting it) and have webmaster tools and just pull to index for each new post.

    How long does it usually take for links to get indexed on networks that don't suck?

      Most of my sites are getting indexed the same day. A few might take 1-2 days.

    No need to ping your private network websites. Google will find them in good time (if they are decent websites).
