I see where according to statistics that yahoo and bing account for over 30% of internet searches.

But all of my sites show 90% arrival from google organic as opposed to 10% percent organic arrivals from yahoo and bing combined. I have around 10 sites and it seems to be about the same for all of them.

I've not purposely optimized for one or the other. I just optimized on site and off for search..

Do you beleive that the stats are true? Or is it a government conspiracy?

Que the spooky music now!

Yeh but is it possible that your keywords just rank better on google?

I think you would technically need a #1 rank for all your sites, in all search engines, to really be able to tell... no?

Be darn if I know.. I just never use yahoo or bing and don't know many people who do. But it seems like all the sites that list the search engine stats have the same percentages.

I just find it hard to believe after looking at where my traffic comes from that so many people use the other 2 engines. Are the published stats reflecting cell phone usage? I know there are an awful lot of android phones out there now. 46% of the visitors to my car sites are on cell phones, maybe that's making a difference.

I've just been wondering why my stats aren't reflecting the averages and how I could get more bing and yahoo traffic. Admittedly my sites do way better in the google serps position wise, as opposed to the other 2.

Your traffic is not even .0000000000001 percent of all internet traffic. No way one person can use their traffic stats to determine national or world wide usage percentages

          But I can dream can't I ?? :p

Really I guess I'm fishing for why my stats seem so skewed toward google and not the other 2.. I really would like to have some of that other 20% I'm missing out on.

I've gone and read about how to rank on the other 2 engines but most articles say if you got google the other 2 should come along also. But in my case they're not.

I'll search and read some more on it tomorrow.

I had a site that got almost all of its traffic from Yahoo/Bing. Why? Because it had no rankings in google and it did in Yahoo/Bing. You're probably better ranked for the keywords that are giving you traffic with Google which would skew the results.

Same with me. I've never bothered to care about Yahoo or Bing because they send so little traffic.

Your site might not rank well on Yahoo and Bing. Or else in your region people using Yahoo and Bing may be less in number.
