do you outsource your SEO?

i'd imagine being an IM forum a lot of people would be doing their own SEO, but who here actually outsources their SEO needs for either themself or their customers? for example i know you can purchase various software such as ultimate demon, SENuke XCr etc for several hundred pounds or via expensive monthly installments. But you could also use fiver/fivesquids and pay someone to do it for you if you only have 1 or 2 paying customers SEO wise its not going to be beneficial to pay lots out each month for software!

Just thought i would ask to see who actually does it themself or who outsources their SEO needs.

i apologise if this has been covered several thousand times!

Unless you have a trusted provider, it's best if you do your own SEO. Learn it!

SENuke, Fiverr gigs, etc, etc - that's NOT SEO.

Real SEO, the kind that WORKS is a labor of love. You go slowly but surely, making sure your content is great and that the bots can immediately figure out what it's about and index it accordingly (and thus rank it high), and building high quality links from real sites and real people which can not be faked.

If someone thinks they're clever enough to fool Google with SEnuke profiles and comment spam - they've got another thing coming.

So, seriously consider learning it. If not, look for SEO experts who share the above view - and you'll be happy you did.

i have watched a few videos on SENuke XCr and the areas that it coveres regarding SEO, such as backlinking, articles, etc and it seems quite daunting, i guess thats where the temptation comes in on using these services to do it for you! im not afraid of putting the time in, just not quite sure where to start

Seo that lasts is extremely slow. Cool avatar, looking at the phone while you take the shot. I'm guessing you have a photography site?

One of the most important things about SEO is to have diversity. There's also a limit to what you can do by yourself. I do alot of my own SEO, but I also outsource a bit for things that I either cannot do myself or simply don't have the time to.

It's all about finding a good balance.

Given the latest search engine updates and the way Google is trying very hard to crack down on automated SEO, I would do it the right way meaning organically. This means connecting with your intended audience through the proper channels like niche forums, etc. It's harder, but since it's harder, fewer people will be doing it so you will stand out from the crowd.

I do all the SEO myself. BUT, I need to start outsourcing these tasks and look at how to spend my time better. I started with ranking sites for affiliate marketing so it's kind of "ingrained" in me to do it all. Kind of a bad habit if you want to really expand b/c I am only one person.

Like any business, you need to look at the cost as an investment and hope for a good ROI.

But, just know that anyone who is short of money can do this affiliate marketing stuff without putting money up front. It just takes TIME.

Good luck with your IM venture!

No SEO tool is going to help you these days.

You should think, use common sense, even people are not getting desired ranking by doing seo manually, doing quality works, then how these tool would work?

There is no such thing as real SEO, vs fake SEO.

If you're ranking a money site that you can't afford to lose you should NEVER outsource your SEO. I am a firm believer in NOT outsourcing SEO under any circumstance.

Only content should be outsourced (and then modified), and code should be outsourced (ensuring that proper backups exist on your hard drive before granting anyone access to tweak your sites code).

Using a fiverr-type of site on anything, but a bunk site used to fake link juice is a mistake. I have one web site alone that pays my bills, and never would I entrust my link profile to someone who is making $4 for the sale. Actually I wouldn't trust it to someone who made $,1000 dollars for the sale. Why? If they screw up they are out a few dollars, if I screw up I'm out my entire income. See the incentive to doing things right?

Not to mention, I know that I can do SEO better and more effectively than any guru, expert, or know-it-all on any forum or service anywhere. Using automated software is a MUST if you want to compete in a serious arena, and still maintain a social life. The REAL labor comes into play when you are creating human passable content to build up your tiers. Other than that it's mostly just technique and foresight.

The number one must important thing to remember is whenever possible, leave no footprints behind.

It depends on the website's model.

I'll outsource SEO if it's a churn and burn site for a high paying keyword that I expect will get penalized after 2-4 weeks.

If it's a longer term project I'll build the tier 1 links myself. Sometimes I'll outsource the linkbuilding for the lower tiers if I think it's needed.

I'm doing SEO by myself manually. SEO in this penguin era should be done properly and carefully. Over spamming and duplicate content is very bad for your website. And if you can, avoid using automated software.

I've been doing SEO myself manually--for over 15 years now. Have tried a few other cheapo SEOs for a few 'other' sites I own, but not for my main money site.

Nowadays, spamming and duplicate content--as well as any automated software--is really only for negative SEO against your competitors.

I outsource my work on Fiverr, I also sell guest posts to fund my SEO campaigns. There's not enough hours in the day to do all the work that needs to be done, it's just easier outsourcing for me.

Luckily I'm fortunate enough right now to have the time to do it myself. I know for alot of people that are working normal jobs its very hard to do all the task of building a website than having to do the SEO. If I was in that position I would probably outsource it also if I thought there would still be profit.

Its mainly because after panda, it is now crucial to have manual links built and if you are free and can do fine, but as a human being, your resource is limited and you may have multiple sites, so best thing to do is outsource
