My Article Disappeared From Google?!?!

I wrote an article and submitted it to my site on the 18th. It was indexed just hours later. Landed on the top of second page for 3 word title. Checked it the next day and it was still in the same spot. Today I looked to see if the page improved its positioning and its no longer in Google’s index? Even searching Google using Site:example.com plus the title phrase its not there?

Ironically the article discusses how to rank well in Google through writing. In fact, the word Google was in the title. Would Google remove a page from search results? I have over 1000 articles on this site and have never had an article disappear.

I even used a plagiarism checker to scan the net to see if anyone stole my writing and everything checked out fine. The plagiarism checker didn’t even find the article on my own site.

Also I didn't throw any backlinks at the article.

Any clues on why this would happen?

Are you sure if your website is still in the index or only the article disappeared? Also, check your backlinks because you could be "bombed" with spammed backlinks (especially if your website is new!)

No, just the article disappeared...not the website, the website and all other articles on the website rank just fine. It's just this one article.

Articles, news and content oriented sites will displayed in Google's SERP due to freshness updates. When these type of content oriented sites gets indexed by Google bot they will displayed in SERP due to the content freshness.

Agree with this. It may be caused by the fressness of your article. But don't worry, Google will give your article a rank, even better rank.
