Will this help my ranking?

Just wondering if this will help in my ranking in any shape, way, or form?

I have created a contest to get fb likes, pins, and tweets to my real estate site.

Here is the contest (I am horrible at designing sites):
UtahHomesToGo.com $250 Giveaway - Home

Criticism would be greatly appreciated.

I certainly don't think it will hurt your rankings. And it probably will help. There are some people who think that these "social signals" are picked up by Google and can positively impact rankings.

  Get the contest on a big contest site, it will cost you around $40 but the backlinks that will be created will be of tremendous value.

Contest site? Can you PM a good one? I know there is a lot of talk about social signal, but does anyone know for certain or have had experience with getting success from them?

  Giveawaypromote.com sends the most traffic then contestgirl.com for me but I can't remember which one I paid for. Usually other contest sites will pull info from these to so you will see other contest sites aswell. There quite a few free inclusion ones but most of them are more hit and run you can never know .

I have over 1,000 fb friends and surprisingly enough hardly any are participating. Most likes are coming from a sweepstakes forum. I was really hoping for local...being I sell local real estate lol.

Hey Justin,

I've done something similar on Twitter. It's definitely confirmed that social signals are used in rankings and it will also help to drive traffic to your website. One thing you should look into is if Facebook allows this. I saw in their terms recently that you're not allowed to run contests for likes and posts.

I just put my giveaway on giveawaypromote.com so we'll see how that works. Thanks for the suggestion amazonguy.
