G Penalty - Will Moving to new Domain help?

Hey guys, lets say I have a penalty on my site (one site has penguin the other one has EMD).

So I was wondering - if I moved the content to a new domain. And then told google that I had moved my site - would the penalty be moved with it?

I realize that I could get someone to rewrite the content and start from scratch again - but I have perfected the sales copy so well that I really want to use the same content.

Some people that I know that were hit by penguin say that the penalty was applied on a site by site basis - they didn't just hit all of your sites - they only penalized the one that had evidence of spammy backlinking. So I'm hoping that they would see starting with a new domain as a clean slate.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well the key is whether you move to pro lem out of there or take it with you. Make sure you clean up your code and meet their webmaster guidelines. With emd it might be related to the domain so it might make a difference if you have a better domain with more authority.

If you "told google you moved your site" which would be a 301 re-direct, from your penguin penalized domain to your new domain the penalty will follow to the new domain.
