Currently I'm ranking 28th on google.co.uk for the my web page

Could anyone please suggest ways in which I could improve upon this ranking? I'm looking to get it up to at least the 1st page of google.co.uk for this particular keyword....

It has recently dropped... I have followed this strategy THE Backlinking Strategy That Works

I have found some success... basically I created ezine articles linking to my main site and then used unique article wizard to post spun articles poibting to my ezine articles... I believe this called tiered backlinking... However I have only used 2 tiers as was suggested in his backlinking stategy should I be doing this differently?

I am also trying to improve my ranking for IT cleaning on google.co.uk for the web page...

Blog Commenting sites?? won't say Quality to that. And I'm guessing they wouldn't be niche relevant.

Use multiple source of backlinks, not only from Ezinearticles. I suggested some from your last thread.

You used spun articles and Google don't like spun articles. I would suggest you to create unique and high quality articles, and backlinks from blogs, and also concentrate upon guest blogging. Guest blogging is better than article submission.

    1. You need GOOD content. Original content. And your on-page SEO needs to be properly optimized for your keywords. If your competition is poorly optimized you may be able to move up just based on this alone.

    2. Backlinks! Take a look at the sites on page 1. Can you get similar backlinks? (Possibly even from the same sources) If it's working for them, it should work for you. Mix in unique backlinks as well.

It's hard for me to say exactly what you need to do without analyzing your site and competition, but if your website is optimized correctly for the keyword you want to rank for, then the only thing that you can do is continue to build quality links to it.

Make sure to use a large diversity of links and use the keyword that you are trying to rank for in your anchor text very sparingly. Keep it under 20% of your total back links.

Also, reverse engineer your competitors backlink profile. Find out where they are getting their back links from and get those same links. You can use a site called Ahrefs, Open Site Explorer or a free tool like SEO Spyglass to find this information out.

There really is a lot that you can do to improve your rankings. These are just some general things. Like I said, without actually analyzing your site or competition, I really can't get much more specific than that.

I was going to add something...but this is sums up what you need to do.

Do these two things and you WILL rank. Period.

    hi,

Keyword ranking mainly depend upon some key factors like relevant backlinking, anchor text used, content, proper channelling in web 2.0 sites, LOW bounce rate etc.

Google.co.uk is pretty competitive, so I would to go through a proper keyword analysis via Google Adword Tool and SERP checker. Promote your website in UK computer forums. Also please stop using article sites to promote because these has been banned by recent panda updates.

Try to emphasize more on quality of backlinks i.e more dofollow and relevant. While using web 2.0 sites , properly use channelling and interconnection of tags between them instead of singular linking.

Before any off-page SEO, ensure your on-page is near perfect. There are plenty of guides floating around the WF covering this subject matter. The concepts are easy to understand and implement, you just need to know them.

To continue your off-page SEO, wou can submit articles to other article directories like Goarticles and backlink them as well with Article Wizard. You can also target Web2.0 properties like blogger, squiddo, etc and employ the same tiered backlinking strategy.

I suggest you also do guest posting to related, high PR sites. Expose yourself more to social media networks and establish yourself as authority in your niche by doing forum posting and blog commenting.

Diversify your backlink porfolio + build your brand. Do you use FB, Twitter, YT and other social media tools? Do you have Web2.0 accounts using your business brand? Find and get more high quality backlinks. It's not easy and takes time, but the reward is great feeling!

I suggest you to optimise as well your on page, becouse this is very important step, with only this you can go on the first page of google, if not you will build a lot of backlinks with no sense, and your website will not move up never

There are more 50 high PR article sites where you can submit your articles. Submit in 1*15 ratio every month. Also you can submit a press release on 10-15 all different sites every month. Moreover, you can do social bookmarking for any of your 5 approved articles and press release.

Submit your website in some dofollow social bookmarking, directory sites. Also add internal linking in keywords in website content.

I use a system where I go through and build a link from all sites on "Knowem.com" and use these as my first tier then randomly select a hand full of these urls a week and hit them with cheap links from fiverr.

You could also benefit from some press releases. Also try and update the page with new content once a week even if is only changing a few lines or adding/replacing a paragraph.

Also make sure you have added your site to Dmoz.
