I want to try it, but cost a lot

I use it, but it's nothing special. Ahrefs and Majestic SEO blow Open Site Explorer out of the water.

And most of their other free tools aren't very helpful. There are a lot of much better ways to spend $99/month than an SEOMoz pro membership.

Why don't you try the free trial and make your own judgement?

Their web crawler is pretty nice if you have clients with larger sites.

I don't like most keyword difficulty type tools, but theirs is not bad to get a glance at a keyword. It's about the only one out there that uses real worthwhile metrics.

SEOMoz is awesome. If you are a serious SEO, you really should be using SEOMoz, Majestic, and Ahrefs. Expensive but WELL worth it.

I use the free version of Spyglass and one of my favorite tools is MajesticSEO because they show backlinks in real time.

SEOmoz is so slow and clunky when using it to research backlinks.

Run a few thousand links showing up in Majestic through SpyGlass. You will quickly see that they are not showing backlinks in real time.

In real time?! Not even Google has a real-time index.

Mike, if you had to pick one out of the three (SEOMoz, Majestic, and Ahrefs) to use along with SEO SpyGlass which would it be?

Ahrefs. It consistently has the larger number of links in its database in every test I have run comparing them all.

SEOmoz would probably be my second choice just because of all the other tools it comes with.

I use SEOMOZ and it's worked quite well for me. I have seen that a lot of people talk about Ahrefs. I guess it's time for me to use it.

I think it's way to expensive and you can get similar tools for less money. I only read the Seomoz blog and love it :-)

Yep, seomoz is good. I only use it to check keyword competition and developed my own tool to judge keyword competition. But to check backlinks ahrefs is much better.
