Does DA has anything to do with the age of Site?

Hello Everyone,

I want to know that whether the domain authority of a site has anything to do with the age of the site.

For example, will there be any difference in the domain authority of two sites in which one is 6 months old and the other is 14 months old and the quality and quantity of backlinks is same for both sites.

    If you're talking about SEOMoz Domain Authority, then no, age doesn't factor in.

    But if you mean the quality of a link coming from an aged vs. new domain, I think that domain age is a factor (but a small one).

    I think on the whole it's important to get away from the concept that 'aged domain' means good domain - put it this way:

    A site which was live for 2 years and amassed 20,000 links, with say 10% of them being naturally acquired high quality links.

    vs.

    A site which was live for 12 years, but ultimately stood as a one page design/a glorified business card.

    Which is the better option? The first, obviously. Domain age, in the sense of the site being around for a certain period of time rather than as an indication of the total quantity of links which are likely to have been accrued as a result of its age, is irrelevant.

    I am sure age don't have any factor, and if yes really smallest one. I have one of my website that have less 1 year and it have 60 domain authority, and other of 3 years old with only 10/100 domain authority
