Google displays the local search volume and the global search volume. In order to get the total should I subtract global from local or add them both together?

    Hi,

Sorry.... I'm not getting exactly your question.

Can you please go little bit more in brief?

      Sorry, let me clarify.

I searched for a keyword using Google's keyword tool and when you are looking at the output of that keyword statistical data it is displayed in column form.

Two of the columns (if enabled) are labeled 'Local Search Volume' and another 'Global Search Volume'. I've looked at the help section but I am still trying to find out if those two separate values should be added together to get the total search volume count.

They are made for you to choose if you are targeting a certain region (local) or you want to the total global searches. Anyways that's how i understand it.

    Hope it helps,

    Thanks
