Got my first PR7 domain, what's next?

Hey,

I managed to grab an expired .ee domain with pagerank 7. Previously it was some sort of "estonian european youth blog" or something like that.. It was previously in estonian, but I probably will change it to english.

I would probably have to stick with the previous niche (euro) while making a new site out of it, right?

I will most likely start selling links on them, but then again, is there any market for links on .ee domain?

The PR is real, it might go down to PR5 after next update, but I'm still very happy about it..

Any other suggestions/recommendations on topic "what to do with this domain" are more than welcome.

I assume it's not wise to share the URL here, right?

If you got it through auction, be careful for a few months. People will be more than willing to report you.

My PBN.. I just turn sites into new sites with new themes.. Never noticed an issue.

Just got back from a #BrightonSEO. I was given room 404 in the hotel I stayed at. Couldn’t find it anywhere!

I don't think you can have much business on a Estonian European domain. Changing it to English is a better option. Also try to build good content on it and don't start selling links too soon.

This domain was expired and I had on eye on it. It just got "deleted" few hours ago, I quickly registered it and the PR has been sticked so far.

How much content should I build?

If it's real, with a decent number of referring domains (with the value being driven between a few of these links as opposed to one or two) and it can be private reg'd, I will give you $200 for it right now

In short, look at archive.org, see what they were doing with it before - redirect some of the old URLs which were created, to preserve as much value in the domain as possible. See if you can link previous activity to your activity in any way, if not create unique content on it and link to your properties. Simple.

Ok, thanks. About the redirect, is it OK if I just get the 404 redirection plugin for wordpress? It redirects every 404 page to homepage.

It has around 50 domains pointing to it. According to ahrefs.

Never heard of it - I don't tend to rely on plugins/software for such things; as long as it 301 redirects then it's not an issue, it HAS to be a 301 though otherwise the link value won't pass on.

I always just use the site: command, archive.org and a .htaccess file; makes me feel safer

n.b. 50 is a decent number, it's round about what I would consider acceptable for a domain purchase i.e. it makes it less likely the value will diminish over time if you lose a few links. PR 7 is mega-high though and makes me v. suspicious of it being faked, presume you used the info: command to check it out?

As far as I know it doesn't have any redirects. I manually verified some backlinks and found handful of PR5's and few PR6's and one PR7..So for me, it looks like pretty much legit.

Could always use the PR7 domain to link to a couple of other PR2-3 domains you may have purchased, to boost their PR. Then use those to link to your money site.

If you intend to sell links don't advertise it as PR7 when you think it's likely to be PR5 in the next update.

Otherwise we get those Gearmonkey scenario's again, who is still advertising afaik

No idea who's or what's gearmonkey... Will see what happens, I will let the domain just stick for a while, maybe I will add few posts in this month, maybe not..

However, I'm pretty damn curious by finding how much "boost" I will get from this PR7 site. Still, I'm unable to use the private registering, not allowed in .ee :|

If this is a true PR7 (meaning it presently has the links pointing at it to keep it that way) You neither should link directly to a money site or sell links on it. You should link to other domains and use it to create a bunch of PR5s and a few PR6s or create even more PR4s.

        This protects the domain
It allows you to keep the kind of content that will allow the links to stay in place.
it makes the non whois privacy less obvious
it makes you FAR more money

PR6 and up should almost always be used as support for a larger network
