Indexing Links - still a good idea or not?

Suppose you get a PR service buy which returns a list of 300 news outlets that picked up your article, and gives you all the links to show that it is definitely on those websites, for example MiamiHerald.com/longextension. However, when you google your press release title and miami herald together (with and without quotes) nothing shows up.

Now, of course Miami Herald is indexed with Google already. But is it a good idea these days to use a linklicious type software to manually submit all 300 links to google or could that hurt your site actually?

Thanks for the tips

If a link needs to be "artificially" indexed, then this link is, probably, crap.

A brand new web2.0 with good unique content can be a nice addition to your back link profile, not in terms of strength obvious but just to vary it a bit up. At the same time web2.0's based on subdomains are known to index pretty slowly so a few high PR links pointed at it can make it a great asset and can make it strong as well.

While at the same it's all artificial.
