Does Anyone Know Of A Bad Link Detection & Removal Service?

My client is ranking well in Places for many of their top keywords, but not organically. In fact for the top major keyword they are not even in the top 50 rankings, but 12 on Places. (of course only the top 7 show up on Places for this keyword)

I'm starting to think that they may have some bad links that need to be removed. The site has a PR3, which is higher than the competition.

Thanks for any help.

google will tell you if they think a link is bad, and they also have a tool to remove links" or more correct" ignore links.
So you dont really have to remove the link, you just need to tell google to ignore it.

    I hope this helps,
    Eco

    Hi @LifeinVegas,
We offer backlink audits and manual removal requests based on a per spammy domain basis.

The Disavowal tool available through GWT is what you would use to submit a request to Google in order that those links deemed as spammy are no longer considered part of your backlink profile.

The major differences between how you go about making this request and whether or not you/your client have received an unnatural links message via Webmaster Tools really dictates what process you'd need to follow.

Here is a great reference for understanding the differences between the types of penalties that may be getting applied here (if any), and what you need to do to correct them: The Difference Between Penguin and an Unnatural Links Penalty (and some info on Panda too) | SEOmoz.

Feel free to PM me for info on our service.
    Good luck,
    Jeff
