    My take on it is this, bad content needs more PageRank and more links. Great content that meets search engine qualifiers needs less links and less PageRank to rank well. Having a good PageRank for your homepage is important because it bleeds into other pages on your site. If those other pages have great content then you'll see a big difference in the amount of visitors your site gets.

    Of course it exists. Fortunately, it's not the be-all-end-all that it once was, IMO.

    A PR0 page can outrank a PR2 page if the PR0 has better on-page optimization.
