Honestly, if your not willing to go to Google, and start from there I would recommend seobook.com

HOWEVER, if you take the time to Google, read, and keep reading, you will find everything that seobook has to offer, but without the pricetag
Hell, Warrior forum is one of the best places to learn too. You find so many topics that have information from users that could be sold for THOUSANDS of dollars. Take advantage of that.

SEO boils down to two things:
    • Text
    • Links

The rest is little details & preferences.

First, you need to ask yourself if you feel its wrong to "manipulate" Google..i.e. building links, buying links, PR networks, using software tools, etc...personally, I'm fine with it and see it as just part of the chess match with Google. Im not willing to wait months and months for my site to rank, so I force it to rank in 1-2 days with techniques many others here use as well.

if you feel its wrong to do these things, then SEO is going to be easy for you to learn, because all you will need is basic on-page SEO knowledge (that you can learn really fast), then just build a great site and pump it full of great content and maybe you will rank it this time next year.

Lots of people believe in quality, quality, quality and the rest will take care of itself...that's just not my cup of tea...I want faster money and would rather build a ton of small sites and collect affiliate commission from all of them..

So, decide what works for you and go with it...

If you try to 'learn SEO' in general you'll overwhelm yourself with information -the topic is so broad. Try Googling 'basic SEO tips' or similar; that's how I started.

I still personally think SEOBOOK is a bit overrated, if you actually take the time to read and search, you can find the info for free, rather than paying 300 Mo for it.

There are a lot of websites out there who provides free SEO and Internet Marketing techniques and also provides free video courses, like the one i hangout with when i decided to enter IM industry. You just need to be patient when finding one, and you need to dedicate your time and effort when studying it.

Sure you'll go a long way, if you pursue your pasion on SEO and IM.

One of the best rules is to take action. There are many people that will read through forums, books and programs that never put what they learn into action. Read up on the basics and test out some methods on a web 2.0 if you do not have a site that you are willing to test on. Target low keywords to see if you can get them to rank and keep moving up until you truly know what works.

This forum is filled with a lot of information. In fact, virtually everything you need can be found here or you will be lead in the right direction at least.

I'm not affiliated, but those guys give away a SHIT TON of free SEO knowledge. No hype, no BS, no "theory".

When you're new it's important to choose your sources of information VERY carefully.

There's a lot of let's say conflicting (ie. crap) information out there.

If you want to learn the ropes, I have a site that's not updated but is the best SEO blog...ever:

    bluehatseo.com.

If you REALLY want to learn SEO, you need to read every page on that blog.

Aside from Warrior Forum, you can also read other SEO forum sites and blogs including Search Engine Land, Webmaster Central, SEOmoz, Search Engine Watch, etc. These sites have guidelines, updates and latest news both for beginners and PRO. Read and apply what you learn to become fully equipped and so you know what works for you.
