I'm Taking a New Approach

Hey everybody, I'm going to take a new approach towards marketing the products on my site. I thought that I should create an informative article on a subject related to my niche in which I suggest a few tips on how to cope with a problem. At the bottom of the article, I promote an amazon product which can do the same job but far more effectively. I point out mainly advantages and include a text link within the article to the product page in amazon. I was wondering whether this was a better approach than creating a review article for the product. Any thoughts on that?

It sounds good. You can also 'compare' multiple products and link to them.

Within the informative post, or on a separate blog post?

If you are creating it on Wordpress, then there is a plugin inContext which is for Amazon too, it would link relevant product to some keywords.

    Also write reviews instead..

Yes, I am doing it on wordpress but I couldn't find the plugin you mentioned. However, I found some plugins called uContext, and Widget Context (I looked at it yesterday and thought that I could have widgets with products appear only on certain posts). Any link, etc, to the widget?
